The Agri-tourism Experience

The Sutherland family operates a 100 head horse ranch. Out of respect for the tradition of Chuckwagon driving the Sutherlands have opened their gates to visitors to provide a once in a life-time agri-tourism experience. Guests will experience the life of the Chuckwagon family. Have a greater appreciation for the love and care provided to the horses and learn about the traditions of the horse-powered race.

Chuckwagon
Chuckwagon races date back to when ‘the West was won’.  Cowboys would load up their stoves and tents and race to the bar; where whoever was last had to buy the whiskey. Today, the races begin with the sound of the claxon horn.  The outrider loads the symbolic stove, and the team races three other wagons around the half mile of hell.

Host
Mark is known as a modern day cowboy. “The high-tech red neck,” wears a tie everyday when working downtown and at the ranch you are more likely to see him in dress shoes than the traditional cowboy boot. Mark is an experienced public speaker and genuine host who likes to spend lots of time talking & visiting with all walks of life. He’s knowledgeable about business, employee management and team work. Mark is loyal to his family, friends and fans.
